Who is behind Platizio Global

The people behind Platizio Global.

Who we are, what we do and do not do, who holds your money, and exactly how your shares are held.

Access was never the hard part

Buying a US share from India has been technically possible for years. What stops people is everything around it — a remittance process under the LRS that most banks explain badly, tax treatment split across two countries that nobody walks you through, and an account that goes quiet the moment it is opened. The friction is not in the trade. It is in the forty steps on either side of it.

Platizio Global exists to carry those steps for you: onboarding handled end to end, the tax and remittance questions answered in plain language before you hit them, and a person to ask afterwards. We would rather you understood the TCS credit you are owed than opened an account a day sooner.

Behind the platform

Platizio Global is operated by Platizio Services LLP. Separately, Platizio Services LLP is registered with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) as a mutual fund distributor and operates in compliance with applicable SEBI regulations for its domestic offerings. That registration covers mutual fund distribution in India only; it does not cover US stocks or ETFs.

The Team

Product, engineering, content and customer support. If you speak to someone at Platizio Global, it is one of them.

Where your money actually sits

Your account is opened with ViewTrade IFSC, an IFSCA-registered broker-dealer in GIFT City, and your US shares are held in the US through ViewTrade’s US broker. Here is how that works in practice.

Who holds your shares?
Your account, cash and securities are with ViewTrade IFSC, not with Platizio. Your US shares are held in the name of ViewTrade IFSC for the benefit of its customers (an omnibus account), not in your individual name. ViewTrade IFSC holds them in the US through ViewTrade Securities Inc., and US shares settle at The Depository Trust Company (DTC), part of DTCC. Platizio does not hold securities or client money.
Who executes your orders?
ViewTrade, not Platizio, holds the assets and executes your orders. ViewTrade is a B2B brokerage and financial-technology provider, and the partnership is what gives the platform its trade routing, execution and custody. Platizio may receive referral fees or revenue share from ViewTrade.
What is Platizio’s role, exactly?
Platizio is not a broker, broker-dealer, custodian, investment adviser, portfolio manager, research analyst or authorised dealer. Platizio acts solely as a facilitator of access to international investing services: we provide the platform, onboarding support and customer assistance. We do not give investment advice. All brokerage, execution, custody, clearing and settlement are performed by ViewTrade or its appointed service providers.
What protection applies?
ViewTrade IFSC is not a SIPC member. Where investor protection coverage is available through a foreign broker, clearing broker or custodian, such coverage is subject to that provider's terms and exclusions. SIPC protects against the failure of a brokerage firm; it does not protect against a fall in the market value of your investments. Your shares sit with a chain of intermediaries, ViewTrade IFSC and its US broker; if one fails, you could lose money. US trades are governed by US law, and IFSC stock-exchange investor-protection and dispute-resolution mechanisms do not apply.

Full terms are set out in our risk disclosure and disclaimer, and the practical questions are answered in the FAQs.
